Well I haven't posted since June but I really do want to keep blogging, it's the only form of scrap booking I've done for about 2 years. So here's the update on our family:
1. In September last year Matt accepted a job as a financial controller at a client's company. He works on the top floor of the Wells Fargo building in downtown Salt Lake City. He is loving his new job and I am loving having him work less hours and NO MORE TRAVEL!
2. We sold our house in Smithfield! It was for sale for about 2 months and this was not a pretty time for our family. Matt commuted from Smithfield to SLC. He stayed a few nights each week at his parents' house in Centerville and even on the nights he came home he didn't get home until about 8 pm. Having our house for sale was a lot harder than I thought it would be; it was so hard for me to get the entire house and yard clean all at the same time, sometimes with very little notice. Spencer and James watched a lot of movies and ate a lot of McDonald's.
3. After we sold our house we moved into Matt's parents' basement apartment in Centerville. Yes we are 27 and 32 and living with our parents, we're awesome like that. Spencer is LOVING living at grandma's but I don't know if it has quite dawned on him that we're not ever moving back to Smithfield.
4. We found a place to build a house in North Salt Lake. We have a lot under contract and found a builder we really like. An architect is making a few changes to our house plan and then hopefully we can get building! It is only about a 15 minute drive to Matt's work so we are really excited about it!
Well that's the highlights. I'm including a few pictures from the last few months also so I can show off my cute boys :)

Pool Time
Today we kicked off summer break by heading to the Logan Aquatic Center. My sister and I have 5 kids between us so it felt like quite a production. The kids had a blast though and it was nice to cool off in the water. Spencer even went down the big slide, which if you know him very well, is pretty surprising. It was also quite a production to try to get a picture of all of them together.
Maybe in a few weeks Cara and I will brave it again!

| I told Kate next time she came to my house I'd give her some cheetos. |

| Then Andrew decided to make a break for it. |

Our Little Graduate
Spencer graduated from preschool last week. We are very proud of him for working so diligently to master skills such as painting, playing with blocks, eating snacks, and singing songs :) He was SO proud of his graduation hat and certificate.
Now hopefully he enjoys swimming lessons this summer as much as he enjoyed preschool!

Party Time
I already announced this on facebook, but we found out last night that Matt passed his 4th and final section of the CPA exam. So tonight we had to have a party. To have an awesome party you have to have an awesome cake...

Quick Update
Alright so here's a quick update on me and the boys...
In April Spencer turned 4 (when did I get old enough to have a 4-year-old?!) and LOVED everything about his birthday. He got to be the spotlight at preschool and wear a birthday crown. We had a family garbage-truck-themed birthday party for him. If you can't tell, it's a "garbage garland" hanging in the background. I also threw in a picture of Spencer and his little friend, Nixon, painting because he's been obsessed with artsy things lately.
James is almost 6 months old and continuing to get chubbier every day. His hair grows in a natural comb-over. If I spiked it he could probably have an awesome faux-hawk.
And me? I am doing fantastic. I stopped nursing last week and it has been wonderful. Go ahead and judge but James slept through the night for the past 2 nights and just woke up from a 3 hour afternoon nap. Bottles have finally allowed me to get him on a schedule and I feel like I sort of have my life back. Hooray!
