Winter Blahs...

Winter has seemed especially long this year, maybe because I have a cooped up 2 year old. I know it's technically spring but it's still rainy/snowy and in the 40's here in Cache Valley. I am really looking forward to days like this...

But in the meantime I guess we'll just keep trying to have fun inside...

(isn't my husband awesome?)

P.S. For those of you dying to know the status of potty training: Spencer's been accident-free for a little over three weeks now. Woohoo! He still wears a diaper during nap time and bedtime but hey, 2 diapers a day is a lot easier/cheaper than what we were going through before!

V-Day

This is the card Spencer sent to his grandparents and cousins. Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Guess what we've been up to?

Yes, that is a gumball machine in Spencer's bathroom. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

We spent Christmas in St. George with my parents again since Matt's parents are still on their mission. All the other siblings, except Blake, were away with their in-laws so it was a small group. We missed Jaren and Callie and the Moncurs but Spencer loved having grandma and grandpa all to himself!

On Christmas Eve we went and looked at Christmas lights...
Matt, Spencer, and I got new pajamas...
We went and looked at the lights at the temple. Spencer loved climbing up and down the stairs...

On Christmas morning Blake got a gift card from my parents to go skydiving, he was pretty excited...

Matt with his new skullcandy skiing helmet and pass...
Me with some of my pampered chef loot...
Spencer was pretty tired and cranky on Christmas Day. I think this is the only present that made him crack a smile (of course it was the $5 bathtub letters from Wal-Mart, not the train set that took 2 hours to put together).
When he first came down and saw his train set he just stared at it with an unimpressed look on his face. But after he woke up a little more he warmed up to it...

My mom got out this old PVC pipe tent she made when my brothers were little boys and Spencer fell in love with it. Here they are watching Toy Story 2...
And last, but not least, here are the sweet Nikes uncle Blake gave Spencer for Christmas. He didn't want to take them off all day long.

Finally!

Finally! A store that actually carries what it has in stock! If I had a nickel for every time I went to a store and a sales associate said "I'm sorry, we have that in stock but we don't have it", I'd be a rich woman.
This picture was taken at the world's largest souvenir shop in Vegas. I'll do a post about Christmas, our trip to Vegas, and our 5 year anniversary soon.
